Discover Specialty Coffee and Tea

Specialty coffee is a term that is used quite often in the coffee world, but what does it actually mean?

Specialty coffee refers to high-quality coffee beans that Q-Graders (highly trained and calibrated coffee tasters who use SCA cupping standards and protocols) score 80 points or higher on a 100-point scale set by the Specialty Coffee Association (SCA). These beans are carefully grown, processed, and roasted to highlight their unique flavors. Arabica and Robusta are the most common types of specialty coffee, with Arabica being mostly preferred for its complex flavors and low bitterness.

So, where does specialty coffee come from?

Sourced from regions around the world - such as South America, East Africa and Indonesia - each of these regions have their own unique and distinct flavors.
